I’ve listened to Nicki Minaj basically since she came out on the music scene, but I never thought about getting a tattoo of her until I saw some Nicki Minaj tattoo ideas.

People have gotten really creative with their designs, so there’s something for everyone. You could even get the same tattoos that Nicki has to match her!

I love how creative you can get when you get a tattoo, but it can also be overwhelming to choose the best idea. Be sure to compare a variety of designs before you head to the tattoo parlor.

And while I couldn’t find pictures for all of the ideas, I thought of some tattoos I might get to honor her.

You can get something small and simple or big and eye-catching. Be sure to consider your personal preference when it comes to tattoos, and don’t forget to pair your tattoo with a Nicki Minaj shirt to show off your love for the artist.

The first idea is to get a matching tattoo with Nicki. She has a tattoo of Chinese symbols that translates to “God is always with you.”

Apparently, she wanted to get the tattoo on her neck, but she thought it would hurt too much. Instead, she got the tattoo on her arm, which is great since she and her fans can enjoy how it looks.

You don’t have to be religious to get this tattoo, so it’s a nice option for many people. Whether you like the Chinese script or just want to match with Nicki Minaj, head to your local tattoo parlor with this idea.

Maybe you’re looking for a tattoo of the artist, so you get one of her in her pink and yellow buns. This tattoo I saw is very detailed and realistic, so it probably wasn’t cheap but serves as great inspiration.

I imagine it took a couple of sessions to complete. However, I think it looks fantastic, and all of the colors work well together.

The halos on each bun look great, and the tattoo artist did an excellent job of blending the colors. If you want something that looks more like art than a basic tattoo, start with this as your base idea.

The tattoo just contains the outline of her head and arm in black, and her hair is a light pink. This is an excellent option for someone new to tattoos or who doesn’t have a lot of money.

I also think it’s a great first-session tattoo for a bigger design. You can start with this for now and save up before having your tattoo artist expand the design around Nicki.

Another Nicki Minaj tattoo I saw and loved is one of her dressed like royalty. The tat contains her face and upper chest, and it looks like she’s wearing a fancy dress and a huge headpiece.

I love that this particular tattoo has part of Nicki’s hair swept to the side, so it doesn’t look “perfect.” The shading on her chest is also amazing, and it’s great that you don’t have to use a ton of color for this idea.

I don’t think I’d ever get a sleeve tattoo, but I know a lot of people love them. If you want to combine that with Nicki, get a sleeve of her surrounded by flowers.

Even if sleeves aren’t for me, I love how the design is pretty natural. A good tattoo artist can start with Nicki Minaj in the center and add the flowers around her without harsh lines.

Of course, a full sleeve will take time and a lot of money. But you can separate the process into a few sessions and start with just the singer, and you can add a layer or two of flowers in later sessions.

Another small tattoo idea is to get one of Nicki Minaj doing a booty pop. I came across a design of her in this pose, wearing her two small buns while sticking her tongue out, so you can show off her sass.

There’s a lot going on, so you don’t have to make your tattoo as complex. However, you can feature the singer in a swimsuit or some other outfit, and you can show off her back.

I love that the example even includes Nicki’s tattoo of Chinese characters. That makes the design more realistic, and it’s a good way to add detail after you get the initial tattoo.

One of my favorite Nicki Minaj tattoo ideas is probably one of her on the $100 bill. The tattoo requires a bit of detail, especially with the bill part.

What makes this tattoo fun is that you can add on to it with other artists on various bills. You might get a tattoo of Eminem or Missy Elliott, so think of your other favorite performers.

I remember listening to Super Bass all of the time in high school, and I still think it’s a great song. If it’s one of your favorites from Nicki, get a tattoo of her in her look from the video.

Getting a tattoo of a person can be a bit overwhelming. I’d probably prefer to get a tattoo of some lyrics from a Nicki Minaj song, at least before committing to a tattoo of her.

When I was looking at tattoos, I saw one of the lyrics from the song “Fly” that Nicki Minaj did with Rihanna. The lyrics are about how no one can define you, which is very empowering.

I love the curly font, and I think this idea could work for most lyrics. You can make them smaller or larger, and you can always add an image of Nicki later on.

This painting is a bit different, though so that you could get a tattoo with a more specific reference. If you also like Little Mix, you could get a tattoo of everyone’s faces with Nicki in the middle and Jade, Perrie, Jessie, and Leigh-Anne around her.

18. I’m a Barbz

I haven’t seen pictures of this idea, but some fans may have gotten a tattoo saying, “I’m a Barbz.” As I shared, Nicki Minaj calls her fans “Barbz,” based on Barbie.

This is a good option if you’re not ready to get a tattoo of her face or song lyrics. Other Nicki Minaj fans will get the reference.
